We painted autumn last week, and learned a lot about aerial perspective.
It was a demo session last week on how to works in layers with soft pastels. We’ve got beautifully gloomy results.
Our landscapes were inspired by the work of wonderful Ted Harrison. We also had a chance to practice colour and tint mixing.
We are so lucky to live in the country with long watercolour painting traditions. I have a feeling that everyone here, in this rainy wet climate, somewhere deep inside must be a watercolourist. Here in Puffin Art Studio we are definitely are!
Last week we took our brushes, poured water in our buckets and painted spring. Isn’t it beautiful!?
What a fantastic session we had in Brampton park yesterday! The weather was just right, and kids really enjoyed themselves.
It’s so beautiful outside, we could not resist to paint spring landscapes with trees in blossom! We worked in a painterly manner with gouache medium, learning how to build texture with the brushstrokes.
Some more of our landscapes inspired by Ted Harrison work.
