Yesterday our new beginners were practising their pastel drawing skills. What a beautiful aviary we’ve created!
Older kids are busy mastering painting birds in loose watercolour style.
Last week we drew colourful tropical birds and our studio was filled with sunshine and warmth. Despite wintery winds outside.
Couple more beautiful drawings from our cartooning session
We had a fantastic start on Saturdays. A lot of things to learn – even how to hold a pencil! But children are getting new information very quickly, successfully using it in their work.
Our next project was about Tropical birds. We worked from colourful images of parrots and toucans, trying to make an interesting visual story. Kids worked really hard, and by the end of the session we had a whole aviary of beautiful creatures.

It is great to see children using different shades of markers to create changes in colour and tone. Well done, kids!
